J.J. Redick Injury: Updates on Clippers Guard’s Back and Return

Los Angeles Clippers guard J.J. Redick left Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks due to back spasms.

Redick Out For Rest of Game vs. Mavs Wednesday, Nov. 11 Redick, 31, was ruled out for the remainder of the night with lower back spasms, according to ESPN LA's Arash Markazi. 

Redick had 10 points and one block while connecting on four of six shots before exiting. Heading into tonight, Redick was averaging 15.4 points while shooting 51 percent from the field.

Largely healthy last season, Redick has found his perfect situation in Los Angeles. Playing alongside Chris Paul and Blake Griffin has allowed Redick to fully be unleashed as one of the game's best three-point threats and he set a career-high 16.4 points per game in 2014-15. 

The Clippers will likely turn to Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers for extended time with Redick out. Any extended absence would only serve to highlight the Clippers' ongoing problems finding suitable role players off of the bench.
