Indiana Pacers GM Discusses PF Situation, Magnum Rolle, TJ Ford and More

On Wednesday, September 23rd, Indiana Pacers general manager David Morway spoke at a private Pacers event about the team's future plans, goals, and the status of the organization as far as roster goes.  I had the pleasure of attending the event and take several notes.  Here are a few things Mr. Morway focused on.

 

On Team Goals for the 2010-2011 NBA Season

The Pacers were once a long-time winning franchise, but have been trying to rebuild in the last couple of years.  Morway indicated that it has been a challenge to rebuild a team like the Pacers since it is uncommon for teams to experience success for very long stretches like the Pacers had. 

Regardless, Morway feels the team is at a point where the pieces are put together to make the Pacers a winning team.  So when asked about the team's goals for the coming season, Morway responded, "The goal is to make the playoffs.  We have to make to make the playoffs."

The Pacers organization is counting on an increased leadership role in Danny Granger, who is coming off a trip to Turkey where he competed internationally for team USA.
