The New York Knicks are finally enjoying success with a two-game winning streak and appear to be heading toward another runaway win over the Boston Celtics, but will have to do so without shooting guard Iman Shumpert.

Shumpert, who suffered a sprained shoulder, was removed from the game and will not return, according to the Knicks PR Twitter account:

Al Iannazzone of Newsday confirmed that it was his shoulder that was ailing him:

The Knicks Twitter account and Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv each provided updates after the team's 114-88 win over the Celtics:

The third-year shooting guard only played in eight minutes of the game before being taken out, hauling in one rebound and four points.

The 2012 1st Team All-Rookie player hasn't played a crucial part of the Knicks' recent string of success, but he has played 28.1 minutes per game this season and has averaged 9.3 points over his last three games with a 19-point performance against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Shumpert's status for upcoming games hasn't been announced.
