Rockets 107, Lakers 87—Final

Kobe Bryant scored 22 points, but the Houston Rockets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 107-87 on Thursday night at the Staples Center.

Although the Lakers legend turned back the clock and threw down an impressive dunk over Clint Capela, it wasn't enough to spark the team. Los Angeles (4-22) surrendered 23 offensive rebounds.

Julius Randle tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds, though D'Angelo Russell had a rough night. The rookie point guard finished 1-of-9 from the floor, and his only bucket came in garbage time.

Led by James Harden's 25 points, six Rockets players reached double figures. Dwight Howard added 15 rebounds, while Capela notched 12 boards and four blocks.

Houston (13-14) held a 24-7 advantage in fast-break points, knocking off the Lakers for the second time in six days.
