Jordan Clarkson and the Los Angeles Lakers overcame a huge performance from James Harden to beat the Houston Rockets, 120-114, Wednesday at the Staples Center.

Clarkson led the way for the Lakers, scoring 23 of his 25 points in the second half. D'Angelo Russell pitched in with 20 points. Julius Randle went for 18 points, seven rebounds and a team-high six assists.

The Rockets, meanwhile, were led by Harden, who had 34 points, 17 assists and eight rebounds. The Lakers managed to slow him down in the second half, though, forcing him into key turnovers and misses down the stretch.

Houston will have a chance to bounce back from the loss in an away game against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. The Lakers will also be in action, as they'll go on the road to face the Utah Jazz.
