Clippers 140, Rockets 132—Final

J.J. Redick's career-best 40 points propelled the Los Angeles Clippers to a 140-132 victory over the Houston Rockets at the Staples Center on Monday.

While the Clippers sharpshooter tied a franchise record with nine three-pointers, the team made history with 22 total triples. Thanks to the 59.5 percent clip from long range, Los Angeles improved to 27-14.

Chris Paul racked up 28 points, 12 assists, six rebounds and six steals. DeAndre Jordan managed 16 points and 15 boards in his return after missing two games due to pneumonia.

Dwight Howard assembled a stellar performance, scoring 36 points and hauling in 26 rebounds. Marcus Thornton added 23 points off the bench, including a pair of last-minute triples to force overtime.

However, the Rockets allowed a 15-5 run in overtime and fell to 22-21.
