Charlotte Hornets shooting guard Nicolas Batum had 19 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists in Tuesday's 100-85 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, and he became the first Hornets player since Baron Davis in 2000-01 to record multiple triple-doubles in a season, per the team's PR Twitter account.
Batum's previous triple-double occurred on Dec. 9, when he went for 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists over just 28 minutes in a 99-81 blowout win over the Miami Heat.
Though Tuesday's game had a similar final score, the former Portland Trail Blazer had a better night as a scorer while getting his usual allotment of playing time. He made eight of his 16 field-goal attempts, one of his four three-point attempts and both of his free throws over 38 minutes.
Known for his well-rounded stat lines, Batum now boasts averages of 15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.6 blocks and 3.0 turnovers in 35.6 minutes per game, with a 42.6 field-goal percentage, 35.4 three-point percentage and 84.9 free-throw percentage.
