Detroit Pistons guard Will Bynum came up big last season for the team, averaging ten points and 4.5 assists per game for the squad. After playing well this past season, he has earned an new contract.

According to the Associated Press , the Pistons have agreed to give Bynum a three-year, $10 million contract.

Bynum was first noticed in the 2008-09 season, after setting a team record for most points in a fourth quarter with 26.

This performance, however, happened late in the 2008-09 season. Bynum became much more energized for the Pistons in 2009-2010 and was just simply arousing.

Then, back in March, Bynum recorded a staggering 20 assists. He was the first Pistons in 25 years to accomplish such a feat.

The last to do so was his idol when he was a child: Isiah Thomas.

The 27-year-old Bynum hopefully looks to do a lot more coming into the 2010-11 season.
