Grizzlies’ Gasol Scores Career-High 38 Points in Win

Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol set a career-high mark with his 38 points in Tuesday's 113-104 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, per NBA.com/Stats.

He also set career-best marks for free throws made (16) and attempted (16), with season-high marks in field goals made (11) and attempted (22).

Never just a scorer, the 30-year-old Gasol added 13 rebounds, six assists and four blocks, though he did turn the ball over three times.

It was still his scoring numbers that stood out the most, as Gasol's previous career high was only 33 points, which he accomplished in a game this past April against the Indiana Pacers, per Basketball-Reference.com.

He now has eight 30-point games over the course of his eight-year career, with the Grizzlies owning a 7-1 mark in those contests.

Seven of those eight outings occurred since the beginning of last season, but Gasol did have an outlier 30-point showing (in the one loss) all the way back in March 2009 during his rookie campaign.
