Greivous Vasquez is Great Return for Tyreke Evans, Sacramento Kings

For Sacramento Kings fans, things have been coming along pretty nicely since the draft. 

Ben McLemore, arguably the draft's best player out of Kansas, fell to the Kings at No. 7. We thought Tyreke Evans' departure would leave a sour taste, but we were pleasantly surprised by the sign-and-trade with the New Orleans Pelicans that yielded a solid player in point guard Greivis Vasquez, per USA Today.

General manager Pete D'Alessandro is on fire so far in his Kings career after coming over from Denver; he's 3-for-3 in personnel decisions, having signed Carl Landry to a four-year contract, per ESPN. 

The sign-and-trade, which will also bring Terrell Harris to Sacramento, cannot become official until July 10.

Vasquez comes from New Orleans having averaged 13.9 points, 9.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game in 78 games played last season. While he's not the greatest shooter with an average of 43 percent, he's a fine facilitator. In fact, he ranked No. 1 in the NBA last season with 704 total assists.
