Greivis Vasquez Injury: Updates on Bucks PG’s Ankle and Return

Milwaukee Bucks guard Greivis Vasquez has not appeared in a game since Nov. 27, and he will reportedly be out for the foreseeable future with an ankle injury.

Vasquez Out Three to Four Months Monday, Dec. 15 Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe noted Tuesday that the former Maryland playmaker “underwent right-ankle surgery to remove [a] bone spur.” Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel passed along confirmation and context for the recovery time:  



Milwaukee landed Vasquez in a draft trade with the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Norman Powell and a 2017 pick. The hope was the 28-year-old would provide important depth and a scoring burst off the bench behind Michael Carter-Williams and O.J. Mayo.

Vasquez averaged 7.1 points, 4.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds a night in 16 games this season.
