GQ Interview: Andre Iguodala Dishes on Fashion, JaVale McGee and Life in the NBA

As Gentleman's Quarterly's obsession with NBA players continues, we keep getting interviews that are as interesting as they are in depth. This month's athlete giving the interview to GQ was Andre Iguodala.

Of the things Iggy dished on, nothing was more interesting than his thoughts on JaVale McGee.

To start off, Iguodala gave us this little tidbit: "JaVale McGee is one of the smartest guys I know."

Um—what?

Like, he's a nerd, plays with gadgets and is into technology. He's funny—he's got crazy jokes and his timing with jokes is really funny. You have to be really smart to think the way he does. He's a thinker, so his mind goes into a lot of different places, and I think that can be taken the wrong way when he's on the court—he can be an over-thinker at times.

Well, that actually makes a lot of sense. I suppose the way McGee acts can be construed as a sort of intelligence. He's just a bit of a nincompoop at times.

Iguodala also gave us his thoughts on being one of the first real fashionable players, along with Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, after the NBA instituted the new dress code.
