After a seesaw first half, the visiting Golden State Warriors ran away from the Houston Rockets for the 131-106 win on Saturday.

The Warriors closed the first half on a 9-0 run and then dominated the third quarter 38-21. Steph Curry scored 27 points and dished 11 assists. Klay Thompson scored 27 as well.

Dwight Howard led the Rockets with 23 points and 11 boards. But the Dubs' smothering defense limited the Rockets to 42 percent shooting. James Harden scored 12 points from 15 shots, and the NBA's leading scorer was held to only four field goals.

The Warriors (32-6) return home for a date with the Denver Nuggets on Monday. The Rockets (28-13) stay put and prepare for a Monday meeting with the Indiana Pacers.
