Stephen Curry scored 25 points and the Golden State Warriors hammered the Houston Rockets, 112-92, at the Toyota Center on Friday night in a rematch of last year's Western Conference Finals.

The game was close early, with the Warriors holding a 30-29 lead after one quarter of play.

Then, Golden State locked in defensively.

The Warriors held the Rockets to 15 second-quarter points and took a 57-44 edge into halftime as a result.

The lead continued to balloon in the second half, with Golden State leading by as many as 25 in the fourth period.

The Warriors shot 46 percent, committing only eight turnovers.

Conversely, Houston made just 37 percent of its shots and turned the ball over 17 times.

James Harden had a miserable outing, going 4-of-18 and missing nine of his 10 three-point attempts.

Dwight Howard wasn't much better, shooting 4-of-11 and committing five fouls and four turnovers in 22 minutes.

Montrezl Harrell led the Rockets with 17 points off the bench.

Golden State improved to 2-0 with the win while Houston dropped to 0-2.
