When getting something for anything that no longer has any value to you, it feels like you've earned it. Like, selling an old, broken lawn mower at a garage sale that was never expected to sell.
"Umm, ya it's for sale but it has sentimental value to me. You will have to offer me more than $10"
Of course Stephen Jackson was no broken lawn mower, he was a valuable piece of the Warrior team that decided to longer be a part of the Warriors.
This choice and lack of desire, however, did make him worth about as much as a busted Craftsman.
But, the Warriors got the better end of the deal, because Jackson was not worth one, but two, veteran players: Vladimir Radmanovic and Raja Bell. Unfortunately they had to include promising young guard Acie Law in the deal to make it work which was a bummer.
But, fear not, both Radmanovic and Bell are in the final year of their contracts.
This is a deal that will help the Warriors now and in the future.
