Golden State of Depression: Ellis, Biedrins, Maggette Need New Homes

With the trade deadline come and gone, the Golden State Warriors find themselves in very precarious position; over spending on what they consider "talent."  This season 44 percent of the Warriors payroll goes towards three players; Monta Ellis ($11 million), Andris Biedrins ($9 million), and Corey Maggette ($8.9 million). 

That is 28.9 million dollars the Warriors are spending on below average talent that has gotten them to 27th in the NBA and on their way to their worst record since the 2000-2001 season. 

Warriors fans are used to watching good talent come through Oakland like cars in a drive through line at McDonalds, but at what point are the Warriors going to sign a player who is the face of the franchise?  Monta Ellis is not franchise player; it was only a few months ago when he said he could not play along side Stephen Curry. 

If you look around the league every team has a face of the organization, a name to brand itself to when attracting fans.  The Warriors face right now is Monta Ellis, not an All-Star and not a team leader, a ball hog from Mississippi.  He does ...
