Gerald Wallace Waived by 76ers: Latest Comments, Reaction

The Philadelphia 76ers waived veteran forward Gerald Wallace on Saturday, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. 

Wallace, who is preparing for his 16th season in the league, will now be looking for his fourth different team to play for this offseason. 

After finishing his second season with the Boston Celtics, the team dealt Wallace to the Golden State Warriors in a move that sent former All-Star David Lee to Boston back in July. Less than a week later, the Warriors traded Wallace the 76ers for Jason Thompson, per ESPN's Brian Windhorst. 

Wallace is also entering the final year of his four-year, $40 million deal he signed with the Brooklyn Nets back in 2012. He is set to make a little over $10.1 million during 2015-16 as the 76ers are still going to absorb his contract.
