Heat Release Statement on Green Wednesday, Nov. 4 "This morning we were informed that Gerald Green was admitted into the hospital. Right now our concerns are with Gerald and we have no further comment at this time," the team's statement read.

Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported teammate Mario Chalmers, who lives near Green, was with him when EMTs arrived.

"No one was Tased, and no one was Baker Acted. Fire Rescue called for our assistance because of problems with a patient. But we don't know what those problems were," announced Miami Police Detective Frederica Burden, per Ira Winderman and Linda Trischitta of the Miami Sun-Sentinel.

Green, 29, is averaging 10.3 points in 21.7 minutes per game over the first three contests of the season. He's a valuable contributor coming off the bench, often spelling starter Dwyane Wade and picking up key minutes for the team.
