George Karl and Denver Nuggets Talk Contract Extension

George Karl shows a lot of confidence in his team, and apparently the Denver Nuggets love what he brings as head coach.

The Nuggets and Karl have reportedly been discussing a contract extension, as Karl is in the final year of his current contract.  

Head coach George Karl is excited about what the future holds, telling The Associated Press, "I have the passion and energy to try to keep this Broadway show going.  The further you get into the season, the contract situation is going to be discussed.  Hopefully we can keep winning and keep that off the discussion plate.  My concern the last six months has been on me and my health and it still is.  I knew if I could get healthy and stay healthy I could coach a few more years and that's probably what I want to do.  I'd love it to be in Denver and I'm hoping this will work out quickly."

Karl has 998 wins throughout his 23-year career, and is currently in his seventh season as head coach for the Denver Nuggets.
