Forgot Us? Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs Are the NBA’s Best Team

The San Antonio Spurs have been dismissed as an NBA Finals contender by many experts and fans since their last championship in 2007.

The two-time defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers and the trendy pick, Oklahoma City, were the consensus two best Western Conference teams going into the 2010-11 season.

But the Spurs are not going to roll over, and they are a real threat to the Lakers in the West this season. 

The most dangerous team is a veteran one. A team full of guys who have won titles before and won't be fazed by pressure moments in big playoff games.

Tim Duncan is the best player who doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Is he a top-10 player in NBA history? I'm not sure, but you could easily make an argument for him. Duncan is a four-time champion and a three-time NBA Finals MVP winner. 

However, the most underrated person in the Spurs dominance of the last decade is their head coach, Gregg Popovich.

Popovich is an all-time coach, and in an era of players being above the coach, Popovich instantly gains the respect of every player who is around him, opponents included.
