Five Reasons Why the Orlando Magic Will Get Back to the NBA Finals

The Orlando Magic took the NBA world by surprise in 2009, thwarted the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference, and kept the Los Angeles Lakers on their heels in the NBA Finals.

Now they're ready to do it all again .

Everyone has their hopes and opinions considering the potential matchups in this year's NBA Finals. Read on to see the top five reasons why the Orlando Magic will represent the Eastern Conference for the second year in a row:

 

1. The Bench Is Better

Orlando got past the Cavaliers last year with clutch shooting and tough leadership from Hedo Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis last year.

And they did so with a mediocre bench.

Turkoglu is gone, but the bench has grown into a group of comfortable impact players, and the Magic are now in a spot where they can rely on the guys off the sidelines more than they did last year.

If it's not J.J. Redick hitting open shots, it's Mickael Pietrus being in the zone, or Marcin Gortat bailing out a foul-prone Dwight Howard, or Jason Williams controlling the tempo while Jameer Nelson rests.
