We see the same cycle repeat itself every year. The College basketball season ends, the mock drafts begin. Analysts, experts, and fans all share their opinions on who the best players are, but often too many times we miss the hidden gems of the second round. Everyone focuses on the lottery draft. This gives off the illusion that all the good players will be gone after the lottery. Not so true, as we've seen the past few years. The Second Round Playoff team, The Utah Jazz, have had numorous success drafting hidden gems in the second round of the past few NBA Draft. Carlos Boozer, Andrei Kirilinko, Mehmet Okur, Wesley Mathews (undrafted), C.J Miles, and Ronnie Price were all second round picks! Six of Utah's best seven players were second round draft picks or worse. Outstanding.
