Festus Ezeli Injury: Updates on Trail Blazers Center’s Knee and Return

Portland Trail Blazers center Festus Ezeli has been dealing with a knee injury since the offseason, but he is getting closer to a return.

Ezeli Working His Way Back from Knee Injury Saturday, Oct. 15 According to Ananth Pandian of CBS Sports, Ezeli has had knee pain since the summer and was "injected with a bone marrow aspirate concentrate" in August.

Jason Quick of CSN Northwest provided the latest update as the regular season approaches:



Ezeli hasn't appeared in a preseason game, but seeing any action is encouraging with the regular-season opener Oct. 25.

The fourth-year center is set to begin his first season with the Trail Blazers after winning the 2014-15 NBA title and back-to-back Western Conference championships with the Golden State Warriors. He came to Portland via free agency this offseason, signing a two-year, $16 million deal, and was expected to bolster the frontcourt along with Mason Plumlee and Meyers Leonard.
