Fear the Fawn: Why the NBA Needs to Watch Out for Larry Sanders

Larry Sanders attended college at VCU, Virginia Commonwealth University, where he played next to Eric Maynor (drafted to the Jazz and later in the season traded to the Thunder) for two seasons.

Larry played a big role in helping the Rams make the 2009 NCAA Tournament. The played UCLA in the first round and lost 65-64, but it was a great experience for Larry and his teammates.

After Eric left, Larry became the go-to guy the Rams, he averaged 14.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. He shot 53 percent from the field. All of the numbers were team highs. He earned the CAA Defensive Player of the Year award in back-to-back seasons (2008-2010).

After the stellar numbers, Larry decided to enter the 2010 NBA Draft.

That is where the journey began that got him to where he is today.

He went on to be drafted with the 15th overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Larry showed great numbers in the Summer League. He averaged 14 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.2 blocks. His best game was a 14-point, eight-rebound and five-block game.
