Fantasy Basketball: Chris Paul Injury Aftermath

Thirteenth-century theologian and poet Rumi once said, "Don't grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form." 

Rumi obviously never played fantasy basketball. And he never owned Chris Paul, either. 



Paul left the Clippers' 119-112 road win against the Dallas Mavericks midway through the third quarter after injuring his right shoulder.

According to Sam Amick of USA Today, Paul will be re-examined in Los Angeles on Sunday and Monday. Head coach Doc Rivers said Paul is expected to miss three to five weeks with the injury.  

Injuries to superstar athletes are one of the most gut-wrenching parts of playing any fantasy sport. For Paul owners, you'll soon realize that you will not find a player on the wire to replace his value. Paul is averaging 19.6 points, 11.2 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.2 3PTM per game this season. You can't find another Chris Paul, but you could find some options on the wire to plug the leak while Paul recovers.
