Extreme Makeover: Phoenix Suns Edition

It has been officially announced that the Phoenix Suns, through two separate deals have acquired Hedo Turkoglu and Josh Childress.  This trade was much needed as the Suns needed to bring in new big men to replace Amare Stoudemire who left in free agency to New York.

Go back to the beginning of the 2004-2005 NBA season and the Phoenix Suns became the most exciting team in basketball.  Leading the league in scoring and providing nightly Sportscenter Top 10 highlights, the Phoenix Suns seemed to be prepared for a long run with their current cast.

Six years later Steve Nash is the only remaining player from the Suns Run N' Gun days. However, going into the 2005-2006 season the Suns faced a familiar situation to this offseason.  Amare Stoudemire underwent season ending micro fracture knee surgery, Joe Johnson left for the Atlanta Hawks, and Quentin Richardson became a New York Knick.

Bringing in smaller names like Raja Bell, Boris Diaw, Eddie House, and Kurt Thomas, the Suns stayed among the NBA's elite and nearly made it to the NBA Finals with many new faces on the court.
