Gordon Exploring His Options June 16, 2015 While Gordon retains the right to opt into a hefty $15.5 million player option that would make him the highest-paid Pelicans player by a sizable margin next season, he's reportedly on the prowl for long-term contractual security despite his injury history. 

According to RealGM.com's Shams Charania, Gordon is likely to play out the final year of his deal but hasn't made a firm decision just yet:
