Eric Gordon Injury: Updates on Pelicans Star’s Shoulder and Return

Eric Gordon's nightmare start to the season got a little worse on Saturday, as he was forced to leave early after suffering a shoulder injury.

The New Orleans Pelicans' official Twitter feed confirmed the news:



In 32.6 minutes per game, Gordon entered Saturday averaging a mere 9.6 points on 38.6 percent shooting.

Should he be forced to miss time—he has missed at least 15 games in each of the last five seasons—Austin Rivers would likely start, while Jimmer Fredette would also see an increase in minutes.
