Back and knee injuries are continuing to slow down New Orleans Hornets shooting guard Eric Gordon, and he will be forced to miss more time.
The Minnesota Timberwolves’ public relations Twitter noted that Gordon would not play when the Hornets traveled to Minneapolis:

Keeping Gordon on the bench is a precautionary measure. As John Reid of the Times Picayune reported, the New Orleans team doctors have not cleared the young star to play in games on consecutive nights in order to protect his knee.
Per Reid, Gordon also shed light on his back issues and said, "It’s a little sore, but I’ve been dealing with it. With so much travel and games, it has been a little bit of wear and tear on me.''
On Friday, Gordon scored nine points in 25 minutes during a 113-98 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
This season, the 24-year-old is averaging 16.9 points per game while shooting 40.9 percent from the floor and 37.1 percent from behind three-point line.
