Eric Gordon Injury: Updates on Hornets Guard’s Knee

The talented, yet injury-plagued, Eric Gordon is close to returning to action.

This has to be music to the ears of New Orleans Hornets fans. Since coming over in the trade that sent Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers, Gordon has appeared in just nine games out of a possible 92. 

The Hornets.com's Jim Eichenhofer has the report of his pending return. 

Dell Demps said Eric Gordon, who is working out on the NOLA hardwood as we speak, has been cleared for full contact.

He worked out today and we'll integrate him into practices next week, and then we'll make evaluations and hopefully get him back soon. Once he's at a point where we feel he's ready to play an NBA game, then we'll have him play.

Gordon has been hobbled by a knee injury that he sustained during his first game with the Hornets. He initially did not go the surgery route, but then opted to have arthroscopic knee surgery last February.
