Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter exited the court during Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks with an ankle injury.

Kanter Sprains Ankle Against Mavericks Tuesday, Oct. 13 According to Royce Young of ESPN.com, Kanter suffered a right-ankle sprain and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Anthony Slater of the Oklahoman noted Kanter was in the midst of an impressive performance before the setback with 17 points and 11 rebounds in 20 minutes.    

Kanter has blossomed into a solid starter since joining Oklahoma City in a trade from the Utah Jazz last season. Although his defense leaves something to be desired, the 23-year-old is a versatile player who can play the 4 or 5 and is only bound to keep improving with Kevin Durant healthy and occupying opponents' attention in 2015-16.

Young big man Mitch McGary, 23, is a capable passer, has a nice shooting touch to provide some added points and should see his minutes increase while Kanter recovers. That's especially so since raw 22-year-old Steven Adams is far more known for his defense.
