Ed Davis Drafted by Toronto Raptors to Replace Chris Bosh

The Toronto Raptors were lucky Ed Davis slipped to 13 in the NBA Draft last night. He will fill the big shoes expected to be left by Chris Bosh at power forward.

I expect Davis to do well in Toronto while starting at power forward. He and Jose Calderon should form a deadly duo a couple years from now.

Don't be surprised if Davis is a candidate for Rookie of the Year. He could turn into an immediate impact player on both offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

If Davis can build some muscle on to his slim frame, then we could be talking about a dominant force in the paint. Before Davis injured his arm last year at North Carolina, he was an impact player.

Davis would have filled massive holes for all the teams selecting from 9-12, but none picked him.

General Manager Bryan Colangelo and the Raptors had to be doing back flips when he was still available.

I think people are giving Davis a good chance to be a great player in the NBA. But I think he could be a force at power forward.

Overall, I Davis to have a great career in Toronto.
