Dwyane Wade Passes Elgin Baylor on NBA’s All-Time Playoff Scoring List

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade added another accomplishment to his legendary resume Tuesday, passing Elgin Baylor for 16th on the all-time NBA playoff scoring list.

The Heat announced the news after Wade scored the milestone points on a jump shot in the third quarter of Game 1 of their second-round series against the Toronto Raptors:



Wade continues to build on an already magnificent legacy that includes three NBA championships and 12 straight All-Star bids. The 34-year-old is the clear leader of a young squad burgeoning with talent, and he can evidently still get the job done as a leading scorer as well.

Most impressive is how Wade has balanced getting his teammates involved and taking over when he needs to. He was instrumental in ensuring the team stuck together throughout the 2015-16 campaign and advanced through the first round of the playoffs.

Miami has at least three more games left in its Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Raptors, which leaves plenty of room for Wade to add to his postseason scoring total.
