Miami Heat star shooting guard Dwyane Wade is nursing a sore knee and has been out since Friday. It is unclear when he will return to the lineup.

Wade Out vs. Atlanta Friday, Feb. 19 The Heat announced Wade will not play against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.

Wade Comments on Injury Friday, Feb. 19

"It's just soreness in the back of my left knee that I haven't felt in awhile," Wade told reporters. "We'll get back tomorrow, get a MRI and check it out. I feel OK. It happened in practice and I just feel a little uncomfortable."

"I'm going to sit out a lot of practices," Wade said, per the Sun Sentinel's Ira Winderman. "That's the advantage I have of being here 13 years. Going through practice [Wednesday], behind my knee got a little sore. So just being more precautious, trying not to make it flare up even more."

 

Miami Wise to Take Cautious Approach with Wade Wade, 34, is not the same player he was in his prime but is still the heart and soul of the Heat franchise, averaging 18.7 points, four rebounds and 4.7 assists per game this season.
