Dwight Howard Injury: Updates on Rockets Star’s Thigh and Return

The Houston Rockets are possibly in the midst of an entirely new "Dwight-mare," after Dwight Howard headed to the locker room Tuesday night against the Sacramento Kings, per Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears:

Sactown Royalty reported that Howard had banged knees with DeMarcus Cousins, which could've led to the injury:

Houston Chronicle reporter Jonathan Feigen reports that Howard looks to be OK:

Up until last year, the Rockets big man had been a model for consistency. In five of his first six years with the Orlando Magic, he played in every regular season game. Upon joining the Los Angeles Lakers, though, Howard was dogged by a back injury that clearly limited his performance.

He's since recovered after signing with Houston, but this presents an entirely different problem. Leg injuries are always so hard to predict, as the most innocuous of collisions can be the most troublesome. Just ask Russell Westbrook about last year's playoffs.

The Rockets will wait with bated breath as more information is known about Howard's injury.
