Welcome to a brand new week, and a whole lot of news coming out of the sports world. Personally, the biggest event of the week is pitchers and catchers reporting. Baseball is on its way back my friends, and the cold winter seems almost worth it when you hear the best four words in the English language: spring training is here. But I digress.

The European Tour's Dubai Desert Classic wrapped up on Sunday and once again, Tiger Woods stumbled in the final round.

He shot a three-over 75 to finish the tournament at four-under, seven shots behind the winner Alvaro Quiros. Woods' round included a seven on the 18th hole par five to finish the tournament.

He continues to make baby steps forward every tournament, but he can't sustain the momentum throughout the course of an entire tournament.

In the NBA, the Miami Heat had a tough loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday afternoon. They mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter, but LeBron James missed a free throw at the end of the game to help seal an 85-82 victory for the Celtics.
