Draymond Green Comments on Arrest, Team USA and More

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is preparing to help Team USA win its third consecutive Olympic gold medal in men's basketball at the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, and he is determined to remain focused on that rather than his impending legal issues. 

Former Michigan State football player Jermaine Edmondson alleged that the former Spartans basketball standout punched him at a restaurant in East Lansing, Michigan, on July 10, according to ESPN.com. Green was arrested for his role in the incident, and he was charged with simple assault.

When asked about the situation Monday, the 2015-16 NBA All-Star selection pushed basketball to the forefront, per ESPN.com's Ethan Sherwood Strauss:

My attorneys are handling everything. Leave it in their hands and I got an opportunity to compete for a gold medal. You don't let any type of distraction get in the way of that. This [is] not about me. It's not about anyone on this team. It's about going out and defending our country the right way, so everything else is kind of secondary to that.
