Donald Sterling to Appeal Dismissed Lawsuit Filed Against NBA: Details, Reaction

Nearly two years after he was banned for life by the NBA for making racist remarks, former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, 81, is still attempting to fight the league and his wife, Shelly Sterling, in court.

The Los Angeles Times' Nathan Fenno reported Thursday that the ostracized Clippers owner "has filed notice" he will appeal last month's decision by a federal judge to dismiss his $600 million antitrust lawsuit claiming Shelly conspired with the NBA to sell the team in expedient fashion.

Donald, who sold the Clippers to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a record $2 billion, "had claimed in the lawsuit that he could have gotten more than that for the team but the circumstances of the sale 'markedly reduced' the price," according to ESPN.com.


On Thursday, Shelly Sterling's lawyer condemned Donald's actions in a statement provided to the Orange County Register's Dan Woike:
