Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has been fined $15,000 for berating an official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner, Brian Mahoney of the Associated Press reported Thursday.
The 55-year-old lost his cool during Tuesday's double-overtime loss to the Brooklyn Nets:
Rivers was called for a technical foul with 18.6 seconds left in the first overtime period, which was followed by a second technical and automatic ejection.
"I thought it was an awful tech," Rivers said after the game, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com.
Tuesday's loss was the third in a row for the Clippers.
Lead official Ken Mauer broke down the reasoning for the calls after the game.
"Do I need to explain it to you?" Mauer asked, per Youngmisuk. "Watch the tape. Behavior, language warrants a second technical foul. Warranted an ejection after getting a first technical foul."
Meanwhile, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban called for Mauer to be punished for poor officiating earlier in that same game.
