Do The Portland Trail Blazers Need to Make a Move in The Offseason?

Now that we're in the offseason in Portland, the talk is all about offseason moves. Should the Blazers sign a star player to compliment Roy? Should Pritchard pull of a blockbuster trade?

The consensus seems to be that the Trail Blazers need to make a move. There's a strong case that they should, but I think that they don't need to.

First of all, Portland doesn't have the money to sign a superstar player to a big contract. If they worked something out for a player like Chris Bosh they might have to trade one of your favorite Blazers.

If you look at the Blazers current roster, they have all the pieces in place for a championship run.

Greg Oden and Joel Pryzbilla should return healthy for next season, which would give Portland arguably the best front court in the entire NBA when you throw in Marcus Camby, LaMarcus Aldridge and Juwan Howard.

Portland is deep enough with big men that they could take on a team like the Orlando Magic with Dwight Howard and not be too worried about falling into foul trouble.
