In a game where Nets' point guard Devin Harris was ejected for the second time on the team due to a Flagrant 2 foul against Blake Griffin, the New Jersey Nets snapped a 23-game losing streak against Western Conference teams.
Not only did they snap the embarrassing streak, but they also won rather convincingly on Monday night without one of their perennial scorers in Los Angeles.
The 14-point win was sparked by Travis Outlaw's 23 points, along with the almost expected 24 point game from Brook Lopez.
In the fourth quarter, the Clippers trimmed New Jersey's lead to three with 6:18 remaining, but it wouldn't be enough to knock off the Nets, who improved to 4-6. A vast improvement over their 0-10 start last season.
Jordan Farmar saw significant time following Harris' exit and added a strong 15 points off the bench.
With the win, the 4-6 Nets will travel to Denver Wednesday night to take on the Nuggets, who sit at 5-5.
New Jersey is currently in second place in the Atlantic division, although the 8-2 Boston Celtics are beginning to distant themselves from their opponents.
