The Houston Rockets got 20 points from James Harden and used a strong surge in the second half to keep the Detroit Pistons winless on Saturday night, taking the 96-82 decision.

All 13 players saw game time and scored for the Rockets, who managed to limit the Pistons to 28 points in the paint and 40 percent shooting by the end of the night.

Omer Asik had 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Rockets, who move to 3-3 on the season. Jeremy Lin added seven points and eight assists.

Rodney Stuckey and Jonas Jerebko combined to shoot 7-of-24 for the Pistons, who continue to search for their first win after a seventh loss. Brandon Knight led the way for Detroit with 16 points and seven assists.

 

Player of the Game: G Toney Douglas, Houston Rockets

Douglas has emerged as the primary backup at PG to Lin. He's responded quite well, raising questions why he was ever in the doghouse up in New York.
