The Pacers will be left with a sour taste in their mouths for the next week, as they fell to the Pistons in overtime in Detroit, 115-109.
The 57 points from Roy Hibbert (29) and Danny Granger (28) were not enough to get them over the hump at the Palace in Auburn Hills on Wednesday night.
Josh McRoberts had a pretty good game with 15 points and 12 rebounds, but Dahntay Jones (11) was the only other Pacer to reach double-digit scoring. Darren Collison, despite dishing nine assists, struggled again offensively as he played 35 minutes, and only scoring six points on 3-11 shooting.
Indiana trailed by six points heading into the fourth quarter, and were able to push the game to overtime, but the Pistons were just too much for them in the end.
After losing another close game last night, this will surely leave the Pacers with a bitter/disappointing taste in their mouth as we finally reach the All-Star break this season. The will have the next handful of days off before their next game, which will be February 22, at Washington.
