Despite Flaws, NY Knicks Still More Lovable Than Last Season

Okay, so the record is 3-9, the scoring is low, the fouls are high, the third quarters are nightmarish and the perimeter defense is atrocious.

Nevertheless, this season's New York Knicks are easier for fans to love than last season's team, because the Knicks themselves seem to love, root for and believe in one another.

At practice on Nov. 11, Carmelo Anthony told reporters:

As long as we know inside these walls, inside our locker room and our team, that we believe that it's gonna turn around, that it's gonna take some time, we just gotta stay patient. ...

For me and guys like, you know, Amar'e and J.R. who've been around for a long time now, we gotta keep the guys like Tim and Shane and Cle and Travis and those guys on point, just as far as letting them know that 'I know it's early in your career, you probably haven't experienced anything like this before.' But you know hopefully in March and April we'll be looking back at this saying we kind of needed that to get what we wanted.
