Derrick Rose Injury: Updates on Bulls Star’s Knee and Return

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose once again finds himself among the team's injury concerns after suffering a knee injury during Tuesday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Rose Leaves Game with Knee Setback Tuesday, Jan. 12 Rose played 22 minutes and scored nine points Tuesday before he was ruled out for the game. Sean Highkin of Bleacher Report noted the point guard returned after initially leaving, but minutes later, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com tweeted "Rose is headed back to the locker room with Bulls security chief Eric Buck. It appears his night is over."    

After the game, head coach Fred Holberg said Rose suffered a strained patellar tendon in his left knee and would be re-evaluated Wednesday, according to Friedell. 

Rose, who notably has a broad injury history, has dealt with a few different ailments during the current campaign. Most recently, he dealt with right hamstring tendinitis that forced him to miss a handful of games.
