Derrick Rose Injury: Updates on Bulls Star’s Hamstring and Return

Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will miss his team's Wednesday matchup with the Indiana Pacers while dealing with right hamstring tendinitis, per Bleacher Report's Sean Highkin.

Kirk Hinrich to Replace Rose in Starting Lineup Wednesday, Dec. 30 Regrettably, Rose's extensive history of injuries has made far more headlines in recent years than anything he's done on the court. He missed just six games over his first three seasons but has struggled to stay on the court since that point.

The ailments he's dealt with so far during the current campaign have been of the more manageable variety. He suffered an orbital fracture while taking part in a training camp practice and then battled through an ankle problem early in the season.

Even when he's been on the court, however, he's only shown flashes of the player that captured the 2010-11 MVP Award. The injuries seem to have taken a collective toll, making it unclear if he'll ever truly return to top form for an extended period.
