Derrick Rose and Company blow out Kings, stay atop the East

There is nothing quite like a 40 point blowout to show once again that you are a legit contender in the Eastern conference.

Short of going to Kevin Garnett’s home and beating him senseless, there may be nothing the Bulls can do to prove they are the top dogs in the East, but last night didn’t hurt their case.

K.C Johnson of the Chicago Tribune wrote about how the Bulls have the right mindset against their opponents.

One of the more amusing aspects to Tom Thibodeau's coaching repertoire is his habit of launching into lengthy soliloquies about the strength of that night's opponent.

In Thibodeau's world, the Sacramento Kings are the Showtime-era Lakers — or at least can be on any given night.

It’s this kind of mentality that keeps the Bulls level headed.

The Bulls know that it’s going to take more than a 40 point blowout to prove themselves. Although they have gotten the attention of the rest of the teams in the league.
