Derek Fisher at a Crossroads, Will It Be Miami or Los Angeles?

Los Angeles Lakers starting point-guard and unrestricted free agent Derek Fisher met with Miami Heat's president Pat Riley and majority owner Micky Arison.

Miami has reportedly proposed Fisher a "compelling" offer, stating that he would be the starting point-guard during the upcoming season for the newly assembled Heat squad.

But will Fisher ever leave the Los Angeles Lakers?

The veteran has been through it all with Kobe Bryant. He's won five championships with the Black Mamba. He was the starting point guard for four of their five titles.

In Fisher's 14 years in the league, he has made a name for himself as a clutch shooter and a major presence in the locker room—he is also the president of the Nation Basketball Player's Association.

Although Fisher could provide the Heat with veteran leadership, experience, and sharp-shooting, he could be a liability as well. During the 2010 postseason, Fisher had a difficult time defending the speedy Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams.
