Dennis Rodman Charged with Hit-and-Run: Latest Details and Comments

Prosecutors in Orange County, California, charged NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman with a hit-and-run for his involvement in a July auto accident in Santa Ana, California.

"Rodman is accused of driving head-on toward a sedan, causing the driver of the sedan to swerve and crash into a dividing wall to avoid contact with the defendant's vehicle," according to the Orange County District Attorney's office, per the Orange County Register's Alma Fausto.

Ben Poston of the Los Angeles Times reported the victim didn't seek medical treatment but said they were in pain after the accident.

The victim told the California Highway Patrol that Rodman fled the scene after a short conversation and without exchanging information, and in August, the CHP recommended Rodman be charged with a crime, per Poston.

A representative for Rodman spoke to TMZ Sports about the allegations, saying: "We agree that if anything, this is a misdemeanor traffic matter and certainly not a felony. We appreciate the district attorney evaluation and know that it should resolve successfully when all facts are considered."
