Delvon Dowling Arrested in Connection with Shooting of Cleanthony Early

Delvon Dowling was arrested Friday and arraigned in federal court Saturday in connection with the December 30 shooting of New York Knicks player Cleanthony Early outside of CityScapes Gentleman's Club in Queens, New York.  

The New York Daily News' John Marzulli reported the news, citing a complaint that was unsealed Monday.

"It could of been way worse and I'm thankful and grateful it wasn't, but I know I'll be back better and smarter then ever, it's what I do," wrote Early as part of a previous Instagram post about the shooting.

As Marzulli outlined in his report, the complaint indicates Dowling and multiple other assailants in three cars surrounded Early, his girlfriend and the Uber driver, whose car they were in. Dowling and the assailants were carrying firearms as they approached.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives representative William Puskas stated one of the assailants shot Early in the leg, per Marzulli.
